Accessibility and the Schoolies Beach Hub

All graduating Year 12 students are free to celebrate the end of their schooling in a safe and happy environment.

The Schoolies Beach Hub is an inclusive area that recognises the diverse needs of young people and caters for those who are mobility impaired, have other disabilities or have non-visible disabilities and we welcome school leavers requiring different accessibility needs to the Schoolies Beach Hub.

We have viewing platforms, disabled toilet facilities and other support mechanisms in place to make the Schoolies Beach Hub an inclusive environment for everyone to enjoy.

In 2024 we are proud to announce our partnership with the Hidden Disability Sunflower Program. This means many of our staff and volunteers have now been trained to support people with hidden disabilities at the Safer Schoolies Gold Coast Response.

For accessible parking, toilets, beach access and other facilities in Surfers Paradise please see the below resources:

Parking options are available close to the Schoolies Beach Hub entry for eligible patrons.

Further to the above, if you have any other questions about accessibility or to make accessibility arrangements, please contact Safer Schoolies HQ at SaferSchoolies@des.qld.gov.au and one of the Safer Schoolies team will be in contact to discuss your needs directly.
